This is the second episode in the series of mini-documentaries based on scientists and their investigation from Malaga University. In this particular video, Angel Galán Sánchez and his research group gives us a realistic and dramatic journey into the fascinating world of the past, with tales of fraud, bribery and embezzlement of public funds. The incredible thing is we are talking about taxation in the Middle Ages and how the feudal society, back then, was characterised by the vesting of legal and economic power in a lord, who was economically supported by mandatory contributions from the peasant population under his jurisdiction and from his landholdings.

H and the flying school bag

When the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía in Malaga organised a “Science week” in November 2009. In-silico were asked how they could help infant school children to understand exactly what a science park is. In-silico came up with the idea of the use of an entertaining adventure animation of “H”, a young lad who spends his time dreaming up new gadgets and inventions, which all his friends take great delight in laughing at, goes in search for help and ends up in the Parque Tecnológico where his dreams become real.

A multiuse, giant floor puzzle designed with all the characters from the animation with the aim of ensuring that the primary school children had time to absorb and play with the new information the animation had given them. We just couldn’t resist the opportunity of going along and catching the fun on camera.
